- WILDCARDS
-
- A wildcard can be either an asterisk (*) or a question
- mark (?) and it can save you time when you want to search
- for a word which has several possible endings. For
- example, if you want to find all references to the word form
- such as former, forming, formation, formed, forms, you would
- use the asterisk wildcard (*) as follows:
-
- Type the word form followed by an asterisk (no space):
-
- form*
-
- You will find all references to form plus any group of
- letters following form. You would therefore find form,
- former, forming, etc.
-
- The question mark (?) wildcard is used in the same way but
- will only find words with one letter added to your base
- word. Thus form? would find all references to form, or
- forms, but would not find former or forming.
